Built in 1536, Stortorget is Malmö's largest square and a major tourist attraction. The square Lilla Torg has always functioned mainly as a square for small local traders. Möllevångstorget nearby the hotel is Malmö´s largest and liveliest market with wonderful international feeling.

Kungsparken, Malmö´s oldest park, and Slottsparken are perfect for outdoor activities and picnics, while Pildammsparken is the largest park, laid out for the Baltic Exhibition of 1914. Sweden´s first public amusement park, Folkets Park, is also the country´s largest.

The new district Västra Hamnen was created for the European Trade Fair and offers a fantastic view over Öresund, as well as beachwalks, bathing areas and restaurants. Nearby you'll also see Sweden´s highest building, Turning Torso, with a structure that turns 90 degrees from base to top.

Here you'll find cafés, design stores and galleries, set amongst the canals, old buildings and narrow streets of Malmö´s old centre.

Impressive enough in itself, the 16th-century Malmöhus Castle is also home to the City Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Art Museum.
